Tailored nutrition in health and disability care
Led by Accredited Practising Dietitian Emily Farrugia,
Our practice specialises in medical nutrition therapy for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and other progressive neurological diseases, tube feeding support and troubleshooting, disability-focused nutrition care and complex dietary needs for adults. We work closely with individuals, families, carers, and support coordinators to deliver practical solutions that make everyday eating and feeding easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
We believe that good nutrition isn’t about rigid rules — it’s about understanding your unique needs and creating strategies that work in real life. Whether you’re navigating mealtime challenges, or need help managing a medical condition, we’re here to guide you with compassion, knowledge, and respect.
Emily Farrugia
Accredited Practising Dietitian | Founder of Selective Health
“Our mission is to provide personalised nutrition care that understands, empowers, and supports you in the ways that matter most.”
With a background of almost a decade in both hospital, community, corporate, sports and private practice health settings, Emily brings a well-rounded, client-centred approach to dietetic care. She is passionate about improving the everyday health and wellbeing of individuals with disability, medical conditions, and complex nutritional needs.
Emily established Selective Health to create a space where nutrition advice is always tailored — not templated. She takes the time to truly understand each client’s challenges, preferences, and goals, and works collaboratively to co-design practical, achievable solutions.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition, Physical Activity and Health), Master of Dietetics and Cert II in Community Services and is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia. She regularly collaborates with allied health multidisciplinary teams including speech pathologists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, medical professionals, support coordinators, and allied health teams to provide holistic care.
